Chelsea are trying to push through an emergency loan move for Manchester United goalkeeper Victor Valdes who is out of favour at Manchester United according to reports.
The Blues are without Thibaut Courtois who has been ruled out for at least three months.
And Jose Mourinho fears that injury or suspension to second choice stopper Asmir Begovic could ruin their season.
The duo are Chelsea’s only recognised goalkeepers and should something happen to the former Stoke stopper then their season could be in serious trouble.
Valdes is on a four-man shortlist along with Inter Milan’s Juan Pablo Carrizo, Atletico Madrid’s Miguel Angel Moya and Helton of Porto.
